Chef Owner Kathleen Watson grew up in the food business. Raised in a Midwestern family of 1st and 2nd generation Italian, Irish and German immigrants, she developed a passion for cuisines of many cultures. Work in the meat and sausage plant founded by her Grandfather served up experience in the wholesale and retail world of the meat business. The family’s restaurant fueled Kathleen’s desire to develop a food business of her own.
Kathleen followed college with 20+ years planning and managing corporate events for Fortune 500 companies, leading PR firms and a pair of start-up wineries. Throughout these endeavors, she enriched her knowledge of cooking, party planning and love of creating in the kitchen herself. And in 2017 she pulled the plug on a grueling schedule of travel and executive responsibilities to set up shop in Lexington, NC.
